Welcome to the site.

Clear and intelligent infrographic illustration for business, packaging, web, icons, instructions and restructuring. Information with an added element of engagement.

As an illustrator with twenty odd years experience, I come from a background of editorial and design/advertising, often with a strong sense of narrative. Over the years my work has included a lot of diagrams for clients including The Post Office, Volkswagen, the BBC, Siemens, Just Retirement, Tork (Sweden) and various medical clients and magazines that have needed complex ideas presented in a clear, relatable way.

These are not technical drawings, the product images in particular I like to think of as graphic portraits. For example, the box illustrations for the Tork tissue dispensers and paper rolls may be used in hotels around the world where the staff might be illiterate or not native language speaking (eg. Spanish speaking staff in an American hotel). This style of artwork is much more recognisable and relatable as the product in question rather than a cold CAD drawing. The communication is more successful and the company has a distinctive visual brand for it's packaging.

As an experienced illustrator used to solving or presenting complex ideas, these images form the bridge between the information the client wants to express, and the end user and their need to understand the information in a clear, yet friendly and engaging way. Adding a bit of life to what could otherwise be quite cold and impersonal.

I hope the work speaks for itself.
